I’m a writer and teacher living in Little Rock, AR.  I grew up in a small town in the foothills of the Arkansas Ozarks, and I come from good hillbilly stock.  I’m mostly overeducated and underemployed, but I’m happily married.

    I am a Chronister descendant, also,on my paternal side. I have also been researching the Hot Springs, AR area because I have descendants there from the first founding of Fenter township. Those surnames are: Johnson, Sloan, Kelly and Jenkins. This is my maternal side. Did you happen to pull up your Chronister descendant on the “Find famous relatives” section? I did and it listed President Richard Nixon. He apparently has a Chronister grandparent way up the ladder. Is your Chronister branch from Johannes Krannester from Germany? If so, we are distant cousins.
